  • Overview

    The Manager/ Senior Manager, Commercial Operations will be a key figure in the creation and ongoing operations of the global commercial organization infrastructure.  This individual will be responsible for collaborating with commercial team management, IT and Third-party vendors to determine business rules and requirements, test, train users and manage multiple commercial systems and processes including but not limited to the commercial data warehouse, customer master and SFA (Sales Force Automation) system.

    The Manager/ Senior Manager, Commercial Operations will also assist in managing product launch teams and will need to work effectively across key functions within Commercial as well as other key corporate functions.

    Responsibilities

    The core duties and responsibilities of the Manager/ Senior Manager, Commercial Operations include but are not limited to the following:

    • Manage the development and subsequent maintenance of the global Commercial Data Warehouse and corresponding analytical tools.
    • Develop and implement Data Governance and Data Quality Processes for master data.
    • Serve as liaison between vendors, Sales, Marketing, IT and other internal departments on sales data-related inquiries and data requirements changes.
    • Lead effort to define, implement, train and maintain SFA tools for the Global Commercial organization.
    • Manage internal and external data sources ensuring accurate information flow for reporting, analytics and incentive compensation.
    • Lead system testing and user acceptance testing of all commercial systems.
    • Standardize documentation and change release management for all supported processes and tools.
    • Align and report on field activity as it relates to annual sales and commercial operations department goals.
    • Assist in managing launch planning for the Commercial team including task assignments, milestones, progress and budget.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or management; MBA or master’s level degree is preferred.
    • 5-10 years related experience in the Pharmaceutical industry in Commercial Operations roles and an understanding of best practices across all areas of pharmaceutical industry commercial operations.
    • Strong project management and follow-up skills in cross-functional environment with the ability to organize and complete multiple projects efficiently and on time
    • Knowledge of pharmaceutical syndicated prescriber and organization data (i.e., Symphony, IQVIA, etc.)
    • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills—able to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences
    • Knowledge of the anti-infective market is preferred
    • Experience with both US and European markets preferred
    • Experience with start-up commercial organizations preferred
