  • Overview

    Under the direction of the Executive Director of Marketing, the Senior Marketing Manager leads the development, implementation and management of programs, services and tactics for HCP customer segment and key initiatives in collaboration with other members of the brand team and relevant internal stakeholders.  Assists in the development of the strategic direction and ensures alignment of all tactics and resources therein. This role shares responsibility for achieving revenue, market share and expense targets, and is responsible for managing the budget for his/her areas of accountability. In delivering against assigned objectives, this position collaborates and integrates extensively with other members of the marketing team, the field sales team and multiple other internal functions. The role also requires flexibility to respond to requests from leadership to support various key projects and initiatives that may arise. As appropriate, this role provides direction for work delegated to vendors to ensure quality and timely completion of deliverables or provision of services.


    • Facilitate planning and implementation of assigned programs and tactics to deliver against established strategies.
    • Develop area-specific promotional and service-oriented content for personal and/or non-personal channels.
    • Manage budget and expenses as assigned by the Executive Director, ensuring that resources are utilized effectively and efficiently.
    • Collaborate with sales team members to align programs and tactics with a customer focus.
    • Effectively manage relevant vendor, agency and consultant resources and their work product to ensure responsible and impactful use of funds.
    • Develop and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure achievement of assigned objectives and/or maximize the impact and effectiveness of programs and tactics to achieve those objectives.
    • Track and monitor all program/tactic targets to drive measurable results as compared with spend (ROI).
    • Collaborate and foster a positive relationship with CMLR to ensure an effective and productive promotional materials review process.
    • Assist in Sales Training to enhance and reinforce sales representatives’ abilities to appropriately execute agreed-upon strategies and tactics.
    • Establish and manage the overall timing, deliverables, dependencies, issues, risks, and resolutions to marketing initiatives
    • Ensure understanding of and adherence to all relevant internal and external policies or guidelines related to the team’s activities and deliverables. Performs other duties as assigned.


    • College degree is required. MBA or master’s level degree is preferred.
    • 5 or more years of pharmaceutical (or broader Healthcare) commercial experience is required, with 2 or more years of HCP marketing experience preferred.
    • 2 or more years of field Sales experience is preferred
    • Must possess a strong knowledge of the anti-infective space.
