Overview

The Sr. Director, Corporate Communications is responsible for the design and execution of comprehensive investor relations and public relations programs that support the overall corporate strategy. This person will be responsible for implementing and managing internal and external communication across all audiences. The Sr. Director, Corporate Communications is responsible for utilizing a broad spectrum of communications tools such as the web, investor conferences, press releases, and internal corporate initiatives, to positively position the company to achieve its corporate goals.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the leadership team to map corporate goals, with strong understanding of business strategies
  • Develop content for press releases, conference call scripts, Q&A documents, corporate presentation, internal memos and corporate website
  • Work directly with the leadership team and cross-functionally (including finance, legal, HR, regulatory, marketing, medical affairs, program management, clinical development and research) to develop accurate key messages and material content; ensure consistent delivery of information across internal and external audiences
  • Maintain relationships with buy-side investors, sell-side coverage analysts and investment firms; work with analysts regarding company projections
  • Identify target institutional investors and sell-side analysts and build relationships
  • Work with external agency to develop and implement public relations plan with goal of increasing visibility of company, including media and social media strategy, targeting and outreach
  • Monitor and research biospace consistently to stay up to date in the industry
  • Develop and manage internal communications via intranet; communicate company mission clearly to engage workforce and unify company with corporate goals
  • Serve as one of designated corporate spokespersons to investors and media

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a wide variety of styles
  • 10 years of experience in investor relations, public relations, communications, or related field
  • Experience working in the biotech industry
  • Must have a professional attitude and ability to work with all levels of the organization, including the leadership team
  • Must have ability to represent the company professionally and knowledgeably to investors
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize, multitask and problem solve
  • Ability to handle time-sensitive and material information
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Position requires travel +/- 25%
